The first chapter is on elementary electricity with the last chapters covering integrated circuits and digital electronics. In between the topics progress through series and parallel dc circuits, networks, meters, magnetism, ac circuits with inductance and capacitance, vacuum tubes, and transistors. These fundamentals form the basis for the study of advanced applications, including communications electronics in general and radio and television in particular, industrial electronics, and computers. Each chapter has a section at the end to explain common troubles in components or applications of the theory. The entire book is written with shorter sentences, shorter paragraphs, and more subhead titles. And with the two-column format, the text should be easier to read.)

(This second part of what was an introductory course in electronics, presents circuits and equipment for practically all modern applications. Starting with amplifier and rectifier circuits using electron tubes, transistors and oscillator circuits including microwave oscillators, the course then progresses to transmitters and receivers, test equipment, industrial electronics, pulse circuits, electronic navigational aids, and military electronics. No mathematics is required to study this text. However, this does assume a knowledge of basic electronics as given in 'Introduction to Electronics I'. The 17 chapters of this textbook correspond to 17 lessons that would be helpful to complete - this has all the subject material included here for this course that was presented in 1960. An excellent reference book.)
